In a slipstreamed CD of Win XP - SP1 there is a new option in the 'Auto Start Menu'. Upon clicking on "Perform Additional tasks" there is a set of Options that become available, amongst the options there is a new option "Install .NET Framework". The only problem is it does not work and the reason it does not work is because Microsoft has not included ".NET Framework" in SP1. Upon investigating further, it seems the option may have something to do with the fact that the Official CD version of SP1 has the ".NET Framework" installer available as an optional installation. Even then it seems Microsoft has either just overlooked this aspect or it is a total goof up on their part.

Anyhow the problem is easily solved by adding the '.NET Framework' files to the slipstreamed CD. Ofcourse you would also have to hack the 'setup.exe' file that is in the root of the slipstreamed CD to update the path of the '.Net Framework' setup file.
