Remote controls are indispensable nowadays, though in some ways it's almost sad just how lazy we humans have become. Soon you may not even need to do more than just wink in order to control your iPod.
And don't worry: the system can tell the difference between a blink and a wink. The blinking people involuntarily do will not activate the remote control, according to Kazuhiro Taniguchi of Osaka University's Graduate School of Engineering Science, who developed the "KomeKami Switch" or "Temple Switch".
