EU starts antitrust case against Rambus
Firm heads down memory lane. Again
MEMORY IP firm Rambus will be charged by the European Union for alleged antitrust behaviour.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the EU alleges Rambus charged royalties that were over the odds for memory patents that became industry standards.
The EU is following the FTC's lead - a few weeks ago the US body said that JEDEC was hoodwinked by Rambus members of the memory committee.
Rambus has 10 weeks to respond to the EU allegations
