I bought a brand new PC back then to accomodate the new Windows version 'Longhorn'. I don't know why, but that computer somehow it doesn't pass the Vista readyness test.

Bummer...

Here's some interesting information I found:

Windows Vista is the name of the latest release of Microsoft Windows, a line of graphical operating systems used on personal computers, including home and business desktops, notebook computers, and media centers. Prior to its announcement on July 22, 2005, Vista was known by its codename Longhorn. As of November 8, 2006, Windows Vista development is complete and is now in the release to manufacturing stage; Microsoft has stated that the scheduled release dates are currently November 30, 2006 for volume license customers and worldwide availability on January 30, 2007.[1] These release dates come more than five years after the release of Windows XP, Microsoft's current consumer and business operating system, making it the longest time span between major releases of Windows.

I couldn't add this in the previous post due to board errors of too many characters or something. Tried many different ways with no luck so I'll just post it here.

The reality is.. if the market deems their product great, then BAM! Their sales will go off the chart. But how much can you sell eye candy for? I've been running XP.. for.. since 2600 (never bothered to install the betas).

I don't intend to install vista on my machines anytime soon, they simply aren't powerful enough, and since XP is so new still I'm surprised that a brand new UI is being pushed.

Is there a classic UI mode in vista. Respectively, one of the most catching features of Vista I find is the window Rolodex.
