Dramurai get hammered by US states
Dozens of states to sue memory companies
MEMORY MANUFACTURERS face a barrage of lawsuits from Attorney Generals across the United States.
The legal onslaught has already started against Micron, Infineon, Nanya, Hynix and Elpida with NY state Attorney General Eliot Spitzer alleging an illegal price fixing cartel.
That, according to today's Wall Street Journal, will be followed by similar charges from as many as 30 other states in the Union. California is set to be the next state to launch an action in a federal court so it looks like a bruising summer for the memory firms.
