AS NDAS are stripped off, Legithardware wrestles with the
XFX 7950 GX2 570M XXX Edition Video Card, the faster of the family of three 7950GX2 models. Boy, product names are now becoming so cumbersome that a decoder will soon be compulsory. Anyway, that card has two GPU onboard and 1GB memory as well as 48 pixel pipelines and 16 vertex shader.
A G71 model. the core/clock speeds are 570/800MHz which is not bad; it's actually a substantial increase in speed. But it did not prevent Legit Reviews from Overclocking it all the way to 593/830MHz. Should you want to go higher, you will have to invest in better cooling. What's more interesting is that ATI motherboards are compatible with it. Even SLI is not compulsory in this case.
Even more interesting is the fact that there's only one power connector which means that apparently, the card requires less power than a pair of 7800GTX 512MB cards, that's a shame for those who chose to go the 7800 way. Its seems that 5800 and 7800 have the same fate. It is a dual slot format, which was expected, but that shouldn't prevent Quad SLI from becoming popular.
There are only two DVI ports although I am sure that someone should come forth with a Quad DVI version, possibly in the Quadro version. As it stands, its performance lies between a pair of 7900GT and a pair of 7900GTX. The software drivers are not bad as well considering the technology that lies beneath. A pretty powerful product that needs to be well surrounded. Excellent value for money though as there are a couple of them spotted just under $590. ATI has one more big headache on its hands.

XSreviews tests the
Giganta Lazer mouse pad. It ressembles a mini surf board - especially as the first photo shows the product on what appears to be a river bank. It has a distinctively shaped, smooth edged form and is built for the action. It will stand out where ever you go. It is a little bit expensive and I doubt that many of you will appreciate its orange colour. But you can bet that it will durable.
Haven't seen a review of Albatron for some time. Albatron is for Gigabyte what Asrock is for Asus except that Asrock is doing much better than Albatron in the marketplace. The
KM51PV-AM2, tested at IT-Review is directed at value buyers looking to jump onboard the new AM2 platform. It comes with a 6150 Chipset, with integrated graphics and packs all the goodies that you can now expect from entry level boards, RAIDed SATA2, D Sub, 5.1 Audio, four DIMM slots, HDTV, DVI and TV out connectors as well as three PCI slots, crammed on a mATX format. Not bad at all. Performance is honest and the price shouldn't be so nasty.
