CHIP FIRM AMD! said it has "cranked up the volume" on digital entertainment by delivering details about its AMD! Live! PC!



Live! is AMD's answer to Intel's Viiv - Chipzilla's offering lacks an exclamation mark!

This, said AMD! Live! is a "full featured" media centre PC aimed at people who think a PC is the hub of a digital home.

System builders in the USA! and in Western Europe! and China! will start trying to sell the Live! PC! in June!

They will be joined by a number of original equipment manufacturers (OEM!) including Acer, Gateway and HP - they will bring out machines using the Athlon! 64! X2! dual core CPU.

A CPU is the brain of a compu'er. These, AMD said, will include "solutions" such as the Live! Entertainment! Suite! which includes AMD! Live! On Demand! using Orb Networks!!!!! [That's enough. Ed.]
