IN SOMETHING THAT will come as little shock to those who have been paying attention to F1 or AMD, it looks like Acer is now an official sponsor of the Ferrari F1 team.
First came the Acer Ferarri notebooks, then the AMD sponsorship, and now the Acer sponsorship. By all accounts, it has been a pretty successful set of hookups for all involved, but no hard numbers have come my way.
Licensing the Ferrari logo is not cheap.
You can just see the Acer Logo between the Vodaphone logo and the rear tire in this action shot. You can tell it is a practice session rather than a race because the Ferrari is not planted firmly in a retaining barrier with millions of dollars in race car bits flying all over the place. Low blow, but nice products.
