Rackable signs up for dual core Sossaman
In brief: Draws max of 115 watts
SERVER FIRM Rackable Systems said it will release machines this quarter using the low voltage 2GHz Dual Core Xeon, formerly codenamed Sossaman.
A machine using these chips will draw a peak of 115 watts, the firm said. The chips use the E7520 server chipset and also use EIST (enhanced Intel Speedstep technology).
