The first reviews of ATI's CrossFire Dual Graphics Solution have been popping up on hardware sites across the web today, as the official NDA has lifted. If you're new to CrossFire, it is ATI's answer for NVIDIA's SLI which has been around for several months. However, rather than sharing bandwidth across the PCI Express x16 bus, CrossFire works in a different way. In order to use a CrossFire configuration, a user must purchase a "master" card along with a standard X800 series card. The master card includes five new chips that help it communicate with the standard card via an external connection, while NVIDIA's SLI is of course handled internally. For more information about CrossFire, check out the reviews linked below.
