Apple switched to Intel Processors
Okay now it is official. Few things at the WWDC 2005 caused the WOW factor.

1. Apple had Mac OS X for x86 since 2000.
2. Steve Jobs for his Keynote was using Mac OS X running on an Intel box.

Some thoughts...

Hopefully they can cut down the prices to match Windows PCs.
We can install Mac OS X in our PCs. --- not anymore. Just read an article which said they are not going to let people install Mac OS X on computers other than Apple manufactured ones.

Apple scared to let Mac OS X deal with variety of hardware? (something which Windows is already doing).

I was looking forward to dual boot Mac OS X and Windows XP. Doesn't look like that day will come in the near future.

Please have your say...

Cheers,
McoreD

Well, now that it's clear you cant (easily) install Mac OS X in normal PCs. But I wonder if we could install Windows on a formatted iMac that has an Intel processor.
