Rockstar Games has been offering games which have been replaced by newer version or have vanished from store shelves as free downloads for a while now. Rather than leaving this field to the Abandonware community, the developer launched its "Classics" series, which had started with "Grand Theft Auto" (GTA) and was later continued with "Wild Metal".
Now the company realeased a free download of GTA 2. The game was originally released more than five years ago. In exchange for a registration, users can download the 353 MB file for free. According to the manufacturer, the game "has been completely optimized for play on modern PCs".
