This is interesting... Even M$ products may not work or act "differently" after installing Service Pack 2. After reading the list, why not just include every single program out there to this list... :lol1:!

Bad news:
QuickSFV 2.23 quit working with SP2

Good news:
hkSFV.v2.0.1.Build84 works great! And is freeware

WR, after got introduced by HotRod I would suggest QuickPAR to anybody who needs checking and creating data verification files. With QuickPAR you can verify SFV files; you can create PAR files (instead of SFV) with recovery records set to 0 or default.

Quickpar is a very much needed application and has more than one use as indicated above. It can save yourself lots of trouble when making backups and compressing them, you can create how ever many recovery files you may need. Also yes it does work with XP SP2.
