Dudelive is an unknown quantity at this point
If I am understanding this correct you now have tried the old memory plus the 2 newer memory sticks which would add up to 3 different sticks and all say only 256? If that is the case it would seem as though something may be set wrong in bios. The next thing I would do is find another system that I could try my memory in to get any hardware faults out of the way.

Be sure to follow the links from BearCat.

Thanks
Dudelive
