Hopefully someone can help me out. I just recently reformatted and performed a clean install of Windows XP on my other computer. However, I kept my second physical hard drive "as is".
Anyway, I am unable to delete/modify any files/folders on my second hard drive. It keeps saying that access was denied or the file is in use. Well, all I'm trying to do is delete doc files and the like.
I've ensured I have full permissions and I am still unable to modify. Even using the Administrator Account. I didn't do anything different as far as reformatting and reinstalling goes.
Is it possible that there were some system files on the second hard drive that the new OS installation is not recognizing? I'm at a loss.
Note: Did notice that there is an entry with a series of numbers as an account. Is this the old permission setting from my previous install? If so, how do I remove it? The remove button is greyed out (along with all the other buttons). I can't even add anyone else for the permissions in these subfolders!
