I was trying to install a program but this program cannot be installed

I tried several times and now all my .exe icons are missing


Really really need help

Ah. I rocognize the problem. I don't have the solution but I think (somewhere vaguely remember this beeing posted sometime before) war59312 had some ideea about it. See if he comes up with something here.
It also might be that you are hit by a virus; do you have SYSU.EXE as a running process?

EDIT: Ok, sysu.exe is a wellknown viiri removing icons and startbuttons. Good thing you don't have it of course. Then I think you have to wait for somebody more savvy than me to jump in here.

I remove SP2 2082 and all the problems are here anyway

I install the SP2 2096 and no changes

All this poopie because I tried to install the program in the picture

I just restore a 1 month old backup today

And all is ok now

bads is this autopilot sposed to be a performance tuner or what the he.ll is it?

u really need to get ur self a beta box just to test all the carazy proggies u install that's out there... Glad u had a back up to help urself...
month ain't all thaT BAD? <cough>

btw, About 5 years ago I installed a joke program that i thought was real I ended up losing 3 years of unreplacable data. That lil escapade made me build a cheapo test box that i still use to this day It has win95, 98, 2k, xp and da recovery console, knoppix <STD> and bartPE ubcd 2k4 std on it for emregency / test purposes before installing stuff on my main box, which in my ho is mission critical...
