I dont know much about linux, apart from the fact that I wanna install on another hd, I heard some rumours, about booting options with winxp
And also, which version is better and for what reasons, Im beginner here.
I pretty sure there is a boot manager in windows xp but I'm not really sure how to use it.
I used XOSL wich is a great free boot manager, it can be found at h*tp://www.xosl.org/. It was really easy to install.
As far as a good linux distrobution. Its really hard to say, anyone you ask will say something different. I personaly like SuSE, I am also very new to linux and it was easy to install and set up. But you might just try one, and then try another to see wich one you like.
Well anyway I hope some of that rambling helped :P
i tried ; mandrake-redhat and suse iam now on suse pro
all versions are newbie friendly and it is just for you what you like .i liked mandrake verry much but i could lay may hand on SuSe pro so iam running this version now . so far i liked it .
problem for me and still is the network i cant get it run... with all versions on windows it was running with no problem . if you are a single user just try one .......
