I am setting up a system for my 7 years old son from 2 of my old computers, now in your opinion which one is better a P3 450 or a celeron 566? Mind you this system is mainly for him to play games.
Thanks

Hi Folks....Cellery Processors have a track record of Reliability Headaches. A PIII of any stripe is a more Robust solution, if you want a machine to work well.

I'd stick with the P3. The only thing I use Celerons for is overclocking.

Wow!!!

This is a canadian post

For me the best is the PIII 450

I actually run with a PIII 550 and I do what I want with it

It plays all the games and the software I need

Hmmm

I would say your son will be happy with the Celeron... Games run better if you have more MHz to spare. The Celeron runs 116 MHz higher , even considering its smaller L2 cache and slower FSB clock...

If your hardware is good quality, I see no reason to have any reliability problems with the Celeron.
