I am wondering if there are many pitfalls in upgrading an XP home version laptop to my CORP Pro version,
the Home version seems to be missing a few configuration options that I need to improve network compatability but I dont want to totally destroy some of the pre installed softwares or driver configuration.

Well it could be no worse than doing an install on top of an existing OS that's already the same. It's not going to change that many things. If I wasn't in a position to do a clean install I'd do it.

Don't worry upgrading your system won't delete any documents or change any users' settings. After upgrading they will be the same as before.
But as source said: if I wasn't in a position to do a clean install I'd do it. It is good chance to start everything fresh.
