I finally found my copy of NAV 2003 and installed it, I updated the virus definition and strarted a scan, and it went crazy seems like my system is infected with w32.nimda.e@mm, so i did a google search and grabbed nortons removal tool, it, NAV and Kaspersky AV are currently in the processs of trying to get rid of it. so far 67117 files scanned 114 infected.. what a freaking drag!! So after the scans and the tool finish i will restart them, and scann again. Hoping this removes them all. Anyways is this enough or should i grab another Virus Scanner just to be safe??

NAV and Kaspersky could both be working against each other there. One could be seeing the actions of the other (Repair, quarantine or remove files) as virus activity. Disable one, let the other do its work and if you feel the need disable the first one and let the second do its work. That way you will get the benefit of both scanners working on their own and being able to work as they should.

1 antivirus program should be enough, have you notified the people in your mailing list that you have had a virus and it probably mailed itself to them? w32.nimda.e@mm is a mass mailer and a pain in the ass, i had it mailed to me by a spammer who had me on his list.

ewww, nimda, when i was doing volunteer work at the place my mom worked here the entire lan, 40 or so workstations and 4 servers, all got infected with it, we would clean it off of one and it would get hit again from a network pc an hour later, those were two weeks of hell... because we never could disconnect everything from the lan at one time to fix it b/c employees were constantly using the machines lol, i ended up getting paid to come in at 10pm one friday night and unplugging everything from the switch and cleaning them all one by one

i think i finally got rid of it!! pretty much isnt norton AV 2003 one of the best virus scanners out there? I really didnt like Kaspersky. If i find i have trouble with norton i will probably get penicillan, i have heard it is also one of the best!!
