Removing Export To Excel In IE

Hello fellow board members

Not too long ago, I realized that if I right-click within Internet Explorer, I have an option to "Export to Microsoft Excel" showing up in the menu... Where can I go to remove this option? I assume it is something within the registry, but when I search, I can't find it.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Using IE 6.0 SP-1, Windows XP w/ SP-1, and Office XP w/ SP-2.

Hey Bads,

Thanks for the recommendation. I would prefer not to install other software just to remove this 1 particular item that is bothering me, and will use it if there are no other resolutions.

Does anyone else have any other ideas? Is there a registry key that displays this option within the right-click menu of IE that I can remove?

Disabling Export to Microsoft Excel in Internet Explorer
If you do not want users to be able to start Web queries from Internet Explorer, you must disable the menu command from the Windows registry. To do so, in the registry editor, delete the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt\Export to Microsoft Excel
