well...yeah. if i only could, lol.
sorry, i did not xplain my self before...
i dont have linux installed on my PC anymore. i did it with Connectix Virtual PC in a physical HDD, but when i removed it, it had wrote the LILO bootloader on my boot sector, n still there,... i dont mind having a bot manager installed... at all, really i could use for further installation purposes, just as long that i can edit it when i need it.
n if i cant... i still dont have a clue how m i gonna remove it without messing with XP loader.
thx anyway for yr reply Cartman.
i just f*** big time with this one, n still digging how to get out,lol
thx

You can use the Windows CD-ROM to rewrite the boot sector to what it used to be. Just boot from the CD, choose the "Fix Windows" option (at least that is what I think it is called, I think it is the second option) login, then type fixmbr. or if you have 9x, then just use your boot floppy, choose minimal boot, and type fdisk /mbr. However I am not sure about the NT family. Hope this helps.

oops ,just relised that this is not right forum for this quiz, althought LILO seam do to d job pretty well .
As i'm thinking of using a dual XP/Linux box, do you know any 'standalone-like' proggy that will do d trick for me?
i mean before i install Linux, but one that can offer me a linux-boot choice without any complications with XP (like LILO but configurable as i want without having to Boot up to one O.S. to change is options )[b:e3489ceb70]please[/b:e3489ceb70], give me some feedback on this one.
thx a lot. [b:e3489ceb70]really appreciated[/b:e3489ceb70]
