Mark at Techseekers.net has taken a look at Mandrake Linux Version 9. It seems to get a good write-up.

I keep trying Linux and dedicated a box to it. Got serious with RedHat 8.0, but after a few days I went back to Mandrake 9.0. I think it is the easiest for old time Windows guys. I also tried Lycoris, even more friendly, but I think I'll settle on Mandrake for now.

Edit 11 jan

Xandros is the way to go for newbies. I've got it installed and up on a LAN with 3 other xp boxes.
