RIAA has forced CDcovers to shut down because I suppose they feel there is no legitimate reason to want to print a cd cover [like for instance having an original with water damage]. No, apparently they want you to rebuy the whole damn cd again, just for the CD liner.
PEOPLE who are not doing what they can and just standing by while this happens are gonna have NO right to bitch [even though they will bitch] when all their consumer rights are taken away by the RIAA and the big consumer bastards that run the industry. It is not just about protecting warez as some people seem to think. It is primarily about protecting YOUR rights. I urge anybody who has not done so, sign up with EFF.org or ATLEAST visit the two links in my sig and see if there is anything you can do to protect your rights!

Shit, I'm always visiting cdcovers.cc.
As you said people do need covers for legit reasons, my son is forever ripping up his ps2 and dvd covers.

Damn, that was a good site. Have relied on it for quite a while now; will be sure to visit those sites you recommended, Darkwolven. Thanks for the information.

When a group like the RIAA can push the Naval Acedemy around, you know their too big and that they need to be stopped, I wonder why the school commandant and post commander allowed it in the first place. from what I understand it is just the music covers is it not?

i was actually thinking about this earlier;
they actually have grounds for it; copyright laws STILL apply.....for the photographs.
they're copyrighted to the label and/or artist(that did the covers, not the music)
and they're distrubuting them w/o permission.
since the RIAA is only concerned about the audio, they just went after the CD covers.
I wouldn't be surprised if the MPAA, makes them take off the movie covers.
or Sony/Sega/Microsfot makes them take off the PS2/DC/Xbox covers.
Who wants to start the pot?
I say they got 6 more months before they totally go under.

Why can't they jsut use the internet for good and not evil. They will end of destroying it and then all will lose in the end. Gotta love monster corporations.
