can someone tell me how to make a new profile?
so that when i boot up, it won't load some hardwares.
I want it to boot up w/ minimal stuff, but not like safemode.

Know what i mean? and how to like ..keep some programs/services from loading on that too...

anyone?

hi, press WinKey + PauseBreak button or right click My Computer and then click properties. Go to Hardware. and the click Hardware Profiles.

First you have to choose to copy the existing profile, give it a name, and reboot. When you boot choose the 2nd profile. Then go back to device manager and right click the hardware you want disabled in that profile...choose "disable in this profile" (or something like that) When all done reboot to the profile you want...

This is for Win2k, but XP shouldn't be that much different....

well, i knew how to reach Hardware Profiles as i mentioned to Jessica before, but never had any idea what to do so thanks for the info Pcdad12078 it is very helpful. now i know what do exactly too. thanks again.
