I have an old VIA VPX Socket7-based motherboard running two (SLI) 12 MB Voodoo2 cards, and it took me a lot of time tuning the BIOS to figure out how to make them work fine...

It's just my story... I don't know if that is a general VIA + 3dfx problem.
