Disabling Lock Workstation

hello everybody, i went through gpedit.msc and secpol.msc to find such a setting. but couldn't find one yet.
i would like to know how could it be done. thank you very much.

p.s. i am still looking for it. will update this thread if i find my own.

The tweak master has come to the rescue.

If you want to set it so only the current user can't lock your computer then open regedit and go here:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\System]

If you want to set it so no one can lock your computer then open regedit and go here:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\System]

Change the dword key "DisableLockWorkstation" either to 0 for disabled or 1 for enabled.

If the dword is not already created then create it and set it either to 1 or 0.

Well I went up to here:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\System]
But there wasn't a dword key called DisableLockWorkstation, but I donno why.
Should I create such a dword?

If the dword is not already created then create it and set it either to 1 or 0.

of course make a backup of your registry first

oh and dont forget to restart before you see if it works or not

I wonder how Windows Registry recognizes our customized commands. I will check this as soon as I restart. Thanks again.

It is not custom. It is there, but just disalbed by default so there is no key. No key means disabled.

Or so you think. Can be enabled too.

Microsoft sets them. They are just hiddin settings, that have been documented elsewhere.

Or so i beleive.
