How hard is it add a Mac to a PC based network runnning XP? Is it as easy as plugging it into my existing network and enableing a new protocol, or do I have to install 3rd party software? Any tips or info is greatly appreciated.

I have done the sharing on a Win2000 system. I don't know if I'll work with WinXP, I don't see why it wouldn't. You'll probably kick yourself if I told you where I found the information to do it in Win2000.. try the help files on your WinXP machine.

Good Luck

Thanks for the info. The XP help file was pretty much as useless as teets on a bull, but it did point me in the right direction and explain that XP dropped it's support for the AppleTalk protocol. Thanks for the tip off though.

Now, does andyone have any input concerning PC MACLAN vs DAVE ?
