BetaONE is looking to improve our news posts. We are specificaly looking for members who would like to contribute to our 'Beta' and 'General' news sections. If you are interested, please reply to this thread. A PM *should* follow shortly.

I don't think we need to find MORE members to join the BetaONE News Team. Rather I think we need to let all members select the news we read with the help of the BetaONE News Team. As seen in my comments before.

The reason we created the 'News Team' is, we had some members posting news all over the place, even in support forums! So we created the team. The goal of the team is to post news in an organized situation.

News team members are NOT required to post daily or even weekly. They *are* asked to pick a forum that is most interesting to them, read it often, not repeat old news, and to post in the correct forum when they find relevant topics.

We have also created a 'news crew' private forum so our teams can communicate with each other in a timely and profunctory manner.

I like this idea, but rather than post in Chit Chat could we post in a section that wouldn't bother others. No disrespect was meant. I simply used your quote to clear up a few things as regards the request for new news posters.

I'll now expand on some other points you've made. Again, I only do this because your points are valid and hope to shed some light on the way we have set up the news crew.

Actualy, news that's posted in the news forums is considered on a regular basis for inclusion to the front page news blurbs. I'm sorry if you thought news posted in 'chat' would be considered for a 'bump' to the news forums but this is not the case.

For some reason I don't understand, we don't have a true 'members news' forum. I think the main reason is, we're trying to organize the news in a way that is easiest for our members to access. In the mean time, all B1 members should feel free to post news they think will help the rest of us in the chat forum.

I recently posted some NEWS I thought others on the board would enjoy in Chit Chat, because I'm not part of the News Team and therefore can't post in the News Section. The title is NEWS - Hackers Access Visa & Mastercard and you will currently find it posted in the BetaONE News Team Tech News Section. Guess where this was posted first since I'm not currently part of the News Team? Yep, Chit Chat Section.

I know what I have been told in the past.
I know what currently happens.

I only want to help out and don't want to fight, but again I just wish things were clear among everyone within the Team.

I see what you mean KingCobra. I had a doubt about what you said by "because I'm not part of the News Team and therefore can't post in the News Section", as I remembered it as "Member Submitted News". So I went back to the main page and refreshed my memory. And you were right, KingCobra.
It was:

News Team Submitted News
All of the news submitted by our news team.
