"Los Angeles is to crack down on Internet Cafes after months of violence culminated in a brawl during a Counter Strike tournament."

So, you are a dork, you are sitting around LA in an internet cafe, you are playing Counter Strike. Why not kick the hell out of the guy that has been fragging your tender ass off the west coast and teach him what real pain feels like?

Well, that seems to be the case and the Los Angeles City Council has started to investigate into cybercafe violence.

"One unidentified teenager was shot in the leg on Monday outside an Internet cafe in Northridge, north of Los Angeles. A second youth was struck in the head, reportedly with a chair." -zdnet

Now, that only makes prefect sense. Remember the times when we used to take that 8-bit Nintendo controller and whip it at the wall and curse till baby Jesus cried? Well, these guys are taking it quite the step further. Socially, can LAN gaming really make for violence? Some would argue no, but you are spending a great deal killing away. Can the gaming environment bleed into reality? Lets all hope. It sounds pretty entertaining.
