Firewall hack

The situation is that I am at Ohio State University. They have a firewall that prevents the setting up of a ftp server, or using file sharing applications (Kazaa, etc.) I connect to the internet through ethernet with TCP/IP. Some things work like AIM, Half-Life, and ICQ work just fine. Strangly Kazaa works, but extremely slow and unreliably. I know people have been able to get around the firewall but they won't say how.

I really am not too sure on how to do that (So I am not much help regarding that, just here to give some advice)...

But I would look into the schools policy and see what they have to say. I mean what is more important - school or a ftp? Even more so at University, I would say don't risk it. School is more important I would think (or at least to me)

My School has a Zero Tolerance for Computer Hacking. If they find you doing that kind of thing its the "Exit" door. There is a reason that this kind of thing is being blocked. If it was not there would be no "Bandwidth" left for real school work.

Yeah I agree with the guyz above leave it as it is, I do my file shareing from Home dude and the guyz here has been real helpful dont risk getting thrown out of school just because you want to setup an ftp server, I know what it is like when you want to impress your frineds, [b:a64128556d] But Impressing your friends is not wort getting kick out of school for or for whatever reason it maybe you want to setup an FTP.[/b:a64128556d]
