WinXP won't remember folder settings

anyone have any potential ideas on how to FORCE WinXP Pro to remember folder settings?....i believe i have all the proper options checked, but some windows (ie. Control Panel), refuse to keep the settings i choose....like i want Icons to show, but it constantly resorts back to Details when i reopen the window

a couple of months ago i posted a similar message, and was advised to delete a bunch of Registry values/folders, but that didn't seem to work

Have you installed TweakXP? The first time I installed WinXP I also installed TweakXP and had the exact same problems with Explorer. This time I installed WinXP without TweakXP, everything is fine.
