Hi guys, I need some advice which soundcard I best can buy for now. Nothing spectacular you might think!
You're right but.... after the installation of WinXP, my old tiny ISA-soundcard isn't supported anymore by this OS.

So... when I go to a local hardwarestore, for a PCI equivalent, I must be sure which brand/type I best can buy for this OS. Don't want to buy a non supported hardware.

So if anyone of you hasn't got any sound problems, please give me some nfo which brand/type your using in your system.

TIA Camino

TURTLE BEACH SANTA CRUZ...it rocks

only $70

What features does this card have?

Among other things, this card features the following:

-6-speaker surround sound including 5.1 output capability to an external AC3 decoder

-Programmable VersaJack for digital input / output

-10-band equalizer in hardware

-MP3 acceleration

-PCI 2.1 compliancy

-excellent compatibility with third party chipsets (Via, Acer labs, etc.)

-solid driver support

-no necessity to adjust PCI latency

Reviews on the Santa Cruz:
