Sephiroth is an unknown quantity at this point
Send a message via MSN to Sephiroth
try removing it from device manager and letting windows reinstall the drivers for it, then make sure udma and dma are disabled on the cdrw drive

I would first try to make sure nothing is running behind your burning software. What burning software are you using?
Anyway, right before you burn, hit control, alt, delete keys together, that will bring up a panel, pull down the Applications tab on the Taskmanager and disable all programs but your burning software.Close that, then Right click anywhere on your desktop, click Properties, click Screensaver, turn off your screensaver. Try to burn now, try this before you mess with your UDMA settings.

I already try all of this, but my CDRW only copy at 8X without problem, but my CDRW is 16X Write speed. I dont know what happen, I use Disc Juggler and Nero Burning.Im think the problem is in the OS, because I write at 16X in ME without any problem.

I found the problem is the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, the problem is I update this driver, but this update disable the DMA transfer in both of my IDE Channels, thismake my computer more slow. But right know I have the right driver, and the Yamaha work great at last!!!!

Another thing to check from time to time is the Yamaha Website. You will find there updates for the "Firmware" in the writer. Using the latest version often will correct a number of problems that can occur.
