I use a Asustek 12x DVD.

It's cheap and nasty so folks keep telling me.

But it works really well, it's UDMA33, and you can remove a jumper at the back of the unit to make it into multi region playback.

All for £79 notes

One of my better buy's.

Get this one and many more from: http://www.dabs.com

I use a Pioneer DVD-105 16/40
VERY good at spin up time and reads anything I throw at it
(unlike LiteOns wich have 30-40 seconds spin up on CD-Rs etc.)
a Firmware hack makes it multiregion, no problemo
