Yes... if you have a dual cpu mobo... then why do you have only 1 cpu in it? Adding another 256 mb of ram would be awesome. BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE W2K or WINXP, 98 and ME does NOT SUPPORT dual processing. If you only have 98/me, then forget it, you never should of gotten the dual cpu mobo then. oh yea, and 98/me only supports up to 512 mb of ram. That is why w2k/xp is a must if you have that mobo. and ya i would keep the cpu speed for both cpus the same. if you overclock, overclock both, so there is no differences to ensure most stability. Forgive me if I am wrong...but doesnt windows 98 support only up to about 196mb? And doesnt ME (why would anyone want it) support ram in the same way as 2K? I am sure I read about this somewhere....

The sweet spot for W9x/ME is 256Mb of RAM.
Most people should agree with that.
Anything else above this is a waste of time.

Windows NT/2K/XP pretty much like as much RAM as you can chuck at it.

NT4/2k can handle dual processor setups.
But having two processors will not double your power, like many people think.
The app must support SMP (multi-threaded).
Even then performance might not live up to much.

I did think Windows XP Pro also supported SMP though.

Anyone know if it does or not?
