It's time for the elitists to come in and prove ourselves to the masses once again ...
Some of you people are so melodramatic it seems you can't and will not tell the real deal from fakes. We here at WiNBETA have brought you some real screenies of an early alpha version of the next generation of Windows, scheduled for a 2004 release.
This is what current development looks like, but it's an alpha build, which means anything can change, and if you can't understand that, there's not much more we can do. It just pisses me off seeing people shouting fake when they haven't seen anything after Windows ME ...
If you have no basis for comparison you can't call something real or fake ... you just call it different but just to shut you all up I decided to go for a contest ... there will be two winners who get to Remote Desktop to my laptop and bunnios' which are running longhorn and this should shut you all up.
This contest will be based on the following question:
"Find out what build longhorn is at internally at Microsoft, and what flavours of it have been made." You can only guess once, and the first two with the correct answer get to play with longhorn for 5 mins each. Please post your answers in the comments section, and we shall review them all by tonight to announce the two winners.
We have also provided a 6min 36s long video of Longhorn to entertain the more skeptical ones ... this video runs at 22kpbs on a 1280x1024 resolution .... Hope that'll shut some of you up.
