One of the salient problems of computer input is the vast number of characters in Asian languages. This is largely because the real world isn't always QWERTY-friendly. For instance, when you use one of those customised software to input Chinese text, the computer will pop up a series of matching characters and you will have to make the appropriate selection. This invariably slows down the input process.
Fortunately, PenPower, a company known for its development of intelligent Human Computer Interface, has come up with another unique note-taking management system. Called NotePen TrueInk, this USB device allows you to input handwritten text (traditional and simplified Chinese) as well as drawings directly without touching the quirky keyboard.
Unlike other pen input devices, NotePen TrueInk uses ultrasonic waves to recognise what you are writing; hence the pen itself is not attached to any wire. Your hand movements are thus not as restricted, although the recognition is sometimes not as spot on.
