Dealer arrested for stealing employees' IDs
Compulinx boss arrested by FBI

THE FBI has arrested the CEO of MSP provider Compulinx for stealing the identities of his employees in order to secure fraudulent loans, lines of credit and credit cards.

According to Var Business, Terrence Chalk, 44, of White Plains and his nephew, Damon Chalk, 35 have been charged with writing a million dollars of credit applications using the names and personal information of some of Compulinx's 50 employees.

Terrence Chalk is alleged to have racked up more than $100,000 in unauthorised credit card charges before he was arrested.

He could face 165 years in jail if he is convicted, which will probably mean he will have to find someone else to stand in for at least a century of his sentence.

Chalk is a member of Westchester County Business Council's Hall of Fame. He was famous for bringing in some fairly radical channel business models which make value added retailers "ooohhh and ahhhh" when ever they are mentioned.

The arrest could wallop Compulinx's business partners a fair bit. The outfit runs an IT infrastructure, which includes four data centres, more than 300 servers and 40 TB of storage for various punters. More here.
