Wants Judge Vince to force productions

CHIP FIRM AMD asked antitrust "special master" Vince Poppiti to force Intel to produce documents.


It wants the good judge to make Chipzilla produce documents related to what AMD describes as "foreign", that is non-American documents.

Intel, claims AMD, has flat out refused to produce documents relating to "alien" territories. Chipzilla bases that stance on the fact that the judge in charge of the case, Joe Farman, said the court had no jurisdiction over non American matters.

But AMD has asked Vince P to make Intel produce documents because it needs evidence related to the time when it still produced chips in America, rather than in Dresden, Germany.

It sold chips from its Austin fabrication plant (factory) up until April 2004 and AMD claims it would have carried on doing so if it wasn't for Intel's "exclusionary conduct" which Chimpzilla said reduced the need for a second fab.

According to a legal spinner at AMD, the class plaintiffs are also pushing for the "motion to compel" as their case wasn't affected by Judge Joe's 26th of September ruling. The case continues. And continues. And continues.
