Jack Thompson sues
ANTI GAMING laywer Jack Thompson is suing Midway Games complaining that his image is being used and abused in the latest version of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.
According to
Gamespot, Thompson is convinced that an image of a suited lawyer looking type which appears in the game is none other than himself.
As Gamespot points out, there are about 60 different characters that you can use in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and there is not a single Miami lawyer among them.
However, looking at the screen shot that Thompson has provided, you can create a lawyer-like fighter using the games "kreate-a-fighter" mode.
Gaming magazine,
Gaming Target, released formulae for making a number of unlicensed characters using the game's various customisation options. One of the templates it released was Jack Thompson. The Thompson template can be seen
here.
We would have thought that Jack would be pleased to be seen depicted as smacking down bad-guys. If he released his own template showing the boss of Take Two games Paul Eibeler or US judge Ronald Friedman, who recently had words with him for contempt of court, you would have fun game Jack would like to play.
