Update your DirectX 9.0c today
Game demos demand it

WE HAVE RECEIVED news from several colleagues in the gaming mags that there are some issues with stability in several new and many upcoming titles. It seems that more than a couple of games will require that users will have to install the latest version of DirectX 9.0c.

While the full versions of the games may come with a new version of DX9.0c, game demos do not come bundled with DX9, so an update is more than recommended.

The games with issues in question the IP-logging spyware-burdened Battlefield 2142 and the latest and greatest from the adventure genre - Broken Sword: The Angel of Death, both of which are solvable in only a couple of minutes. Use our complementary L'INQ to get the latest version of DirectX 9.0c, dubbed "October 2006 Update".

The INQuirer

October 2006 Redist, a 56MB file.
