Geforce7 IGP tested to pieces
STRAIGHT FROM our friends at HKEPC comes a test of the AsRock AM2NF6-VSTA which comes with a graphic engine based on the Geforce7. So you will probably end up with a 7200-esque performance.

For once, the chipset is passively cooled - chipset is a MCP61s IGP - and there are two slots that I can't readily identify. The rest is pretty much what you can find on most Asrock motherboards. A pair of Realtek chips, one for the sound and one for the network. Even more interesting is the benchmarking of the P61s with the C51G, VIA's K8M890CE and ATI's RS485, all integrated chipsets. Some results are quite surprising though.

Trusted Reviews tests the eVGA 131-K8-NF44 motherboard. eVGA is a well respected brand when it comes to graphic cards and the NF44 is an example of the Bigsmall concept, where shall things exhibit features or bigger things. The eVGA model is a socket 939 model with four DIMM sockets, an actively cooled chipset, one PCI slot and three larger PCI Express slots. Why three of them, well the mobo is SLI compatible and the three-slot approach saves the cost of having loads of switches. Boards compared with Asus and it does perform wonderfully well.

We reported on the a Sansun case not so long ago, well there's more this time from our friend at Bjorn3D. The Sansun Galaxy case is the one we're after this time. Still that traffic light look with it. It has a meshed front to dissipate heat inside the casing, there's nine 5.25-inch bays, for you to slot in those DVD writers, there's also a temperature display and the case itself is screwless but not totally tool less. Fanwise, it has two 80mm ones and a 250mm mother-of-all-fans on the side, just to keep you cool in hot summers.

Newly redesigned Belgium website, Matbe tests the Fortron Green 500 watts PSU. It is cheap, does not offer any flashy or trendy features and has a rather large fan cooling it. Interestingly, its efficiency is higher than 85%, which rivals more expensive models from Antec or Seasonic. It is noisier than the 400w model though and the number of connectors is clearly insufficient. That said, the PSU is stable and would be a good purchase if only it was more silent.

Russian-based Digital Daily.com tells us a little bit more on the correlation between CPU and video system in part one of their articles. The purpose of this report is to find out when processors become an obstacle in gaming when faced with a powerful graphic card. The concept of having a balanced GPU/CPU couple might be just what the doctor ordered when the Torrenza platform will be launched. But for now, DD shows us why an overclocked processor is sometimes more desirable than an overclocked GPU. Hitechreviews checks one more power supply unit, in this case the Cooler Master Exterme Power Duo 600w model. Cooler Master excels at making good casings and of course good cooling systems. They have chosen to branch out in a natural domain, power supplies and you can bet that they will soon release all in one systems. For the time being though, they let us discover that PSU that is slightly more than 72% efficient and tries to dissipate the myth that this PSU does not shut down unexpectedly
