Gluk in hell
SOMEONE has managed to crack into the Debian organisation's gluck server and forced the outfit to take it down for a bit.
It means that those trying to get the organisation's cvs, ddtp, lintian, people, popcon, planet, ports, release services will be out of luck until the broken server is reinstalled.
However, the problem was a lot wider than a problem with a single server. The outfit had a look at the other machines it was running and found them vulnerable to the same fault that bought down Gluck. This means all its servers have had to be fixed and have also been put on hold.
"We're still investigating exactly what happened and the extent of the damage. We'll post more info as soon as we reasonably can," the site says.
It is not clear what damage was done to the server, or if anything that was not publically available was taken. More
