10-Way VOIP calls for free
INTEL AND SKYPE have made their cozy relationship a little cosier this morning with the launch of 10 way free VOIP calling. Yes, you heard that right, you can now do as many people as you can count to without taking off your socks, all for the low low cost of zero. This must scare telecoms people silly.
This announcement is the next step in the collaboration between Intel and Skype, and in a shocking twist, it will only work on Intel dual core processors. Intel of late has also been giving away perks for DC owners, the first one was a
good game, now followed by a useful utilty. I sense this is just the tip of the iceberg on what we are going to see Intel do with VOIP and business "platformisation". It is already promising to add that special sauce to the video side of Skype, and from what people tell me, that is far from the last of it. I wonder what will be the followup?
