Sir Bill Gates goes on anti-Linux tour
THE CHIEF Software Architect of the Microsoft Universe, Sir Bill Gates, is set to embark on a tour of major North American science and engineering universities.

Sir Bill's trip is being promoted as an effort to encourage students to pursue careers in the information technology (IT) business.

However, in an odd coincidence, many of the groves of learning appear to be in the course of bargaining about upgrades from Windows 2000 to Windows XP. Some of the academies even use non-Microsoft software - the University of Michigan, for example, uses Red Hat, SuSE and even UMCE Linux. This grove of learning, along with many others Sir Bill will visit have actively pushed such things as LDAP, Kerberos and TCP/IP.
