Some of the first NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800 GTX benchmarks have been posted on the web, showcasing NVIDIA's flagship GPU in a mobile form for high end, desktop replacement laptop computers. The initial results are very promising, as the mobile 7800 GTX lags only slightly behind its desktop counterpart in each test, most likely due to its slightly lower clock speeds. Feature wise, however, it is identical. In fact, NVIDIA claims that its desktop 7800 GTX part is actually based on the mobile GPU, which would explain its efficiency per Watt.
Look for laptops featuring the GeForce Go 7800 GTX from OEMs such as Voodoo, Falcon Northwest, and Sager in the near future.
