wireless problem
I just went wireless with a linksys wrt54g router and it keeps dropping the signal. Is there anything that will extend the range of the wireless connection? the signal is always weak at best

Try channel 6 or channel 2.

Channel 6 works best for me.

Also make sure it has a stight line of site.

Also make sure its set to at least 11mbps.

Try Enableing Short Preamble if your router supports it.

Also what type of encryption are you using. I just wep. Good enough for me.

What happens if you dont use encryption. Any different

What wireless are you on a,b,g, etc.?

I am on b atm and it works pretty good seeing as my router and pc are up stairs on the far right side of my house and other pc, my brothers which is wireless is on the other side of the house.

Also be sure to test your connect settings at dslreports. Run the tweak test.
