hi there all i have just brought a intel p4 478 pin 2.26 ghz

i want to now which is the best motherboard for this , but is has got to allow to factors
i have 2048 meg of ram so i dont want to waste this (rimm-rambus pc800)
and ollow overclocking in the bios

Asus are made for it - Mine came with the jumper cable and the owner manual has directions on how to do it.

The problem is that chip is 533MHz FSB and not a lot of boards support it yet. It really needs to Intel 850E chipset as opposed to the more common 850 to run with Rambus at 533.

If it was a P4 at 400MHz I also would have said Abit, the TH7-II board is awesome and has 4 RDRAM slots to support that much memory.
I'm not even sure if Abit has a 850E board yet.
