You may be right, but .NET Server Family, while it has some marked improvements, seems to be only an upgrade to the W2K system. Gates said this week that Longhorn would be tied to future releases of Office, Exchange Server, and, of course, the SQL Server "Yukon" technologies, which will be used for the Longhorn file system.
So the next major revamp for NTFS seems to be in line with the Longhorn release, which means that there probably isn't a lot of difference between XP and .NET kernel.
